Occupational Health

Occupational Health is the promotion and maintenance of Health and Wellbeing at Work.

Employers use our Occupational Health Department to undertake the following:

  • Pre-employment screening
  • Health surveillance
  • Medical advice on sickness absence or early retirements
  • Staff support / counselling
  • Immunisation screening and vaccinations where relevant
  • Workplace risk assessments

Torbay and South Devon NHS Foundation Trust Occupational Health Service provides a comprehensive range of occupational health services to our own organisations and various other regional NHS Trusts as required. Services are available to their employees and usually accessed via the employee’s line manager. On occasion, external employers access the service to ensure their employees remain well at work.
