Update re parking at Torbay Hospital
Published: 25 January 2016
We would like to apologise to patients, visitors and staff for any additional problems experienced with parking whilst construction works take place to improve car parking across the site. An additional 200 car parking spaces including 50% more disabled spaces will be provided by the time the project is complete in July 2016.
In addition to the new parking spaces, other improvements will also be made, including the provision of 20 minute drop off facilities and disabled parking at the main entrances to buildings. Pay on exit ticket systems will also be installed in the majority of car parks.
Motorcycle parking will be provided in all new parking areas and additional secure parking provided for bicycles close to main entrances.
Additional public car parking has already been provided at the Lowes Bridge entrance to the site where patients can access the hospital through the Women’s Health Unit. There is also a pay and display car park at the rear of the Farmhouse Tavern Pub which is available to members of the public with a gated access to the hospital site.
See further information about the improvement works and about parking generally.
