Acute Service Review recommendations
Published: 20 June 2017
As part of Devon’s Sustainability and Transformation Plan, the NHS across Devon is reviewing services provided at hospitals in Barnstaple, Exeter, Plymouth and Torbay. Clinicians’ recommendations, which were published today, recognise the importance of continuing to provide emergency services, stroke, maternity and paediatric services at Torbay Hospital. A key reason for the service reviews was the current and future workforce challenges Devon is facing, and there is now work to do to ensure we can provide these services in a way that is safe, resilient and affordable.
