Latest update on Saturday’s major incident

A spokesperson for the NHS said: “Following the major incident on Saturday, 37 patients were treated by the NHS over the weekend.  Whilst a number of patients remain in hospital this morning, the majority of patients admitted to hospital in relation to the incident have been discharged and those who remain in hospital are in a stable condition. 

“Please help us by only calling 999 or using our Emergency Departments if it is a genuine emergency. For minor injuries or illness call 111, use 111 online or visit your nearest minor injury unit.”
