Third COVID-19 death recorded at Torbay Hospital.

A Torbay and South Devon NHS Foundation Trust spokesperson said:

“Sadly, we can confirm that a patient who had been cared for at Torbay Hospital and died at the hospital on 20 March 2020 had tested positive for COVID-19.

“The patient, was in their early 90s and had underlying health conditions.

“The family have been informed and our thoughts and condolences are with them at this difficult and distressing time. Out of respect for their privacy we will not be commenting further.”
