Feedback
We collect patient feedback to monitor your individual progress and to help us evaluate and improve our service.
You will be asked to complete a questionnaire before your first appointment, and another one when your sessions finish. If you are signed up to MY CARE, we will send these to you digitally. Otherwise, we will send them by email, or by post with a self-addressed envelope.
Filling these in is entirely voluntary, but it greatly helps our work with you. Your therapist will discuss the questionnaires with you during your appointments.
What our patients say
Here is some of the feedback we have received from people who have used our service:
“I have a “toolbox” of actions to help me continue to recover. Very grateful.”
“It has been useful to articulate (and feel heard) some of the challenges that I had.”
“I have always valued the support I have received from the psycho-oncology service as a whole. Thank you.”
“It has helped me to accept my cancer experience and therefore move on and live my life fully in the present without fear. It has also helped me hugely in my general awareness with regards to triggers from past trauma, separating them from cancer trauma. Also not to be harsh on myself and not to project my expectations on to others.”
“The therapist tracked me closely, I felt heard and accepted as I am. I felt I could bring anything and everything to our sessions. I am me at ease with where I am in my cancer journey and on my journey through life.”
“On conclusion of my psychotherapy on reviewing my 4 main difficulties at the outset I could see (and surprised myself) with how much my difficulties have lessened.”
