The role of the Eye Clinic Liaison Officer (ECLO) is to offer a point of contact for anyone seeking emotional support, further help, advice or assistance for themselves or their carers.

The ECLO can:

discuss benefits entitlements
training opportunities / rights under current legislation
make referrals to other agencies that can help including charities and social services
provide a link to clinical staff / help patients to come to terms with their sight loss
ensure that patients understand the benefits of registration
advocate for patients
