Body conditioning

Step 6 of the improving health and fitness programme is a series of 10 exercises that can be attempted as they are or adapted so that they are ‘easily manageable’ to help you begin to improve your activity levels. Remember the focus initially is on having gentle and relaxed breathing, choosing an appropriate starting position (sitting, standing, leaning against the wall, or lying down) and adapting the level of difficulty to suit you.
