Research studies and clinical trials

There are many different types of research studies and clinical trials which we are involved with, some look at improving current treatments; others focus on specific conditions or medical devices.

All of our studies and trials have to follow strict rules on medical ethics and have been approved by the relevant governing bodies. To find out more information on how studies within the NHS and England are approved and what is involved in a clinical trial please refer to the NHS website’s clinical trials and medical research site.
