Technology Enabled Care (TECS)

Some exciting new changes are coming to the way in which we provide technology enabled care service (TECS) in Torbay.

Technology now plays an important role in supporting people to live as healthy and as well as possible and there is an ever changing and developing range of technological solutions.

Therefore, in order to develop the service and offer greater choice, innovation and increased peace of mind the Trust has decided to transfer the service to a new provider and it will no longer be run in house by Torbay TeleHealthCare.

From Monday 1st October NRS Telecare will run technology enabled care services in Torbay. NRS Telecare have an excellent track record and clinical expertise and we are excited to be able to introduce them as the new provider of Technology Enabled Care Services (TECS) in Torbay.

Any clients who currently receive a service will continue to get those services in exactly the same way.

For anyone who is considering the use of technology to support his or her health, independence or daily life the new technology service will be in place from 1st October. NRS Telecare will be able to deliver, install, repair and maintain equipment from this time.

Although Torbay TeleHealthCare are unable to take on new clients from Monday 13th August our customer service centre can still support you to find an alternative provider until NRS are in place. Please contact us on 01803 219700 if you require any additional assistance in sourcing technology.
