How to access Technology Enabled Care (TEC)

There are two access routes for TEC

1. Purchasing privately

For people living in the Devon County Council area:

Torbay Council

For people living in the Torbay Council area:

Technology Enabled Care Service is being transferred to a new provider, Livity Life, another national TECS provider affiliated with Millbrook Healthcare. If you have TEC at home, this will continue to be monitored by the same receiving centre, and you can continue to use it as usual. We will transfer your details to the new TECS provider as we transition from one to another; you will not notice a change in the function of your equipment. If you have a private arrangement with NRS, you will shortly be contacted by either Appello or Livity Life to discuss how your Direct Debit can be transferred.

2. Funded via Local Authority

Provision of TEC can be assessed for via the Council area you live within, i.e. Torbay Council or Devon County Council.

Devon County Council

If you live or are registered with a GP within the Devon County Council area, TEC is provided and funded by Devon County Council following an assessment under the Care Act, which shows that you have an eligible need and you meet the criteria for funded technology.

Millbrook Healthcare is commissioned by Devon County Council to deliver and install TEC solutions to the people of Devon.
