New state-of-the-art radiotherapy machine opens at Torbay Hospital (12 April 2018)
A new state-of-the-art cancer targeting Linear Accelerator (LINAC) is now open to service users at Torbay Hospital. The opening marks the end of a three-year investment programme designed to update and improve the Oncology facilities at the hospital.
£13m for urgent and emergency care in South Devon and Torbay (28 March 2018)
The Department of Health has today announced that South Devon and Torbay is to benefit from funding of up to £13m, to improve urgent and emergency services for local people through creating Urgent Care Centres in Newton Abbot and Torquay, and to deliver a major refurbishment of Torbay Hospital’s existing A&E department.
