A new ‘wall of fame’ has been unveiled at Torbay Hospital which recognises award winning colleagues from across Torbay and South Devon NHS Foundation Trust.

The award features winners of the organisation’s staff recognition scheme, Our People Awards, as well as winners from other award initiatives. These include the DAISY Award for nurses, Primrose Award for healthcare support workers, Allied Health Professional awards, Junior Doctor Award and SAS Doctors awards.

Some of the most recent winners and colleagues who help make these awards happen joined Liz Davenport, Chief Executive, for a ribbon cutting ceremony. Liz spoke about how important it is that the hard work and dedication of colleagues is recognised before Sue Pugsley, tissue viability nurse, cut the ribbon.

Also present were the sponsors who recently supported the organisation’s Our People celebration evening. The generosity of Bailey Partnership, Kier, SDS Engineering, PSB Scaffolding, Nevada Construction and KTA Architects has made the wall possible.

Visitors can find the wall of fame on the corridor behind level 4 main entrance at Torbay Hospital, next to the HeArts gallery.

Members of the public who have been supported by a colleague or team that they think deserves to be on the wall of fame can nominate them for an Our People’s Choice Award online.
