Teignmouth Hospital open following fire in clinic building

Teignmouth Hospital is open and people should continue to attend appointments as planned unless they hear directly from us.

A fire affected the Teignmouth Clinic Building on the Teignmouth Hospital site last night.

The building is used by our community midwifery service and Devon County Council services. We are working with colleagues and partners to put alternative arrangements in place for those services and will contact anyone whose appointment needs to be rearranged or relocated.

We continue to work closely with the emergency services and partner organisations while investigations continue.

We’d like to thank Devon and Somerset Fire Service, Devon and Cornwall Police and our colleagues for their support and response last night. We will share further updates if there is anything people need to know as more information becomes available.
