Colorectal and stoma care
The service offers support and information to patients before, during and after surgery that results in the formation of a stoma and/or ileo-anal pouch.
This is a specialist service, which provides counselling, support and advice to patients undergoing formation of a stoma, (ileostomy, colostomy, urostomy) or ileo-anal pouch.
Based at Torbay Hospital, this service is available to patients in hospital and community settings, via clinic, email, and phone response. Patients are able to self-refer at any stage of their journey.
A further service providing support and counselling to patients with colorectal cancer is offered by our specialist nurse.
