Amber weather warning for Friday 18 February 2022
Published: 17 February 2022
The Met Office has declared an AMBER weather warning for Torbay and South Devon as Storm Eunice is expected to bring extremely strong winds and continued disruption for much of the UK on Friday.
An AMBER weather warning means that there is an increased likelihood of impacts from severe weather, which could potentially disrupt your plans. This means there is the possibility of travel delays, road and rail closures, power cuts and the potential risk to life and property. You should think about changing your plans and taking action to protect yourself and your property. You may want to consider the impact of the weather on your family and your community and whether there is anything you need to do ahead of the severe weather to minimise the impact.
If you have a face-to-face appointment booked with our services tomorrow and you feel like you can’t travel due to Storm Eunice, please contact the number of your appointment letter to discuss this with a member of our team.
We know staying in contact with a loved one while they’re in hospital is really important. To help keep everyone as safe as possible, we are asking that visitors only attend one of our sites if they are sure they can travel to and from there safely.
