Work experience and placements

We value requests relating to work experience and placements within the Paediatric Psychology Department.

Undergraduate Psychology Students

We offer a years placement within the paediatric psychology service for undergraduates who are undertaking a Psychology Honours degree, which incorporates a professional placement.

Please speak to your University Placement co-ordinator to establish whether or not we already advertise potential placements at your university. If we do not, then please ask your placement co-ordinator to contact our team to discuss further.

Recruitment for these placements usually takes place in December and January prior, to the academic year in which they begin. We are, therefore, unable to consider any requests for placements after this time.

Trainee Clinical Psychologists

Please note that these conditions do not apply to placements for Trainee Clinical Psychologists on the DClinPsy courses as these placements are arranged separately via your training institution.
