Torbay Hospital’s accommodation is split into two main areas the old and new residences.

The old residence accommodation is based at the top part of the hospital close to the social club and is separated into four buildings mainly allocated for student staff, senior doctors and married accommodation.

The new residence accommodation is situated as a square of 24 houses with a grassed lawn in the centre with barbecue facilities. This accommodation is allocated mainly for junior doctors and includes married properties.

The new residence site, also known as by residents as ‘Brookside’, is located on the Torbay Hospital site and is close to the Medical Centre, TREC, and Trust library. The site can be viewed from the Bayview Restaurant and is a short walk to the main hospital building.

Within all single rooms in accommodation we provide a wardrobe, desk, desk chair, sink, single bed including linen and blankets, easy chair, and desk lamp.

The communal areas such as the kitchen, lounge/dining area, and bathroom are shared between all residents.

All bedrooms and main entrance doors are lockable.

Boyce Court is a complex of 68 studio apartments rented to key workers through an agreement with Torbay and South Devon NHS Foundation Trust. The scheme is located opposite Torbay Hospital on the Newton Road. Public transport is easily accessible and there is a good range of amenities and leisure facilities in the immediate vicinity.

The apartments are arranged over 3 floors with a lift to all levels. Each apartment is open plan with kitchen/living room/bedroom combined and en-suite bathroom. They are partially furnished and comprise of: washer/dryer, fridge, combination microwave, double bed, wardrobes, desk with desk chair, dining table, bookshelves, easy chair etc. *Linen, crockery, cooking utensils, iron and ironing board, and vacuum are not provided.

The apartments are let to applicants approved by the Foundation Trust. They are let on an assured short hold tenancy for either 3 months or more. The rent includes central heating, electricity and water. Tenants will be responsible for their own council tax, television license, telephone bill, and any television/internet subscription.

Parking is limited at the site and there will be an additional monthly charge for a parking space.
