Non-Specific Symptoms (NSS) Clinic

What we do

We see patients who may have a suspected cancer.

Our patients may have been referred to us by their GP because they have symptoms or test results which may be related to a possible underlying cancer.

We either confirm or rule out a cancer ideally within 28 days of being referred to us by their GP. Most patients referred to us do not have a cancer diagnosis, so we might instead diagnose a non-cancerous condition and, where appropriate, will provide a plan, referring the patient to a specialist team or to their GP.

When a possible cancer is identified, we will refer the patient to the site-specific cancer team to continue investigating and discuss treatment.
